Scientists have recently discovered that one single sneeze can infect a room full of people for hours. The Flu virus passes from person to person by air contamination through sneezing and coughing, or by direct physical contact. Researchers have discovered that microscopic infected droplets emitted by coughing and sneezing can stay floating around in the air for hours, all somebody has to do is then breathe in that contaminated air to become infected themselves. Breathing in the airborne viruses found in a typical office, waiting room, plane or other communal space could infect a person after just one hour. This discovery gives some truth to the old saying : Don’t visit a doctor’s waiting room unless you want to get sick.
